Seattle journalist David Neiwert will be at Griffin Bay Bookstore, Oct. 12, 2-4 p.m., to present and discuss “And Hell Followed With Her: Crossing the Dark Side of the American Border”, his latest work in chronicling the exploits of right-wing extremism in America.

Billed as an illuminating portrait of a southwestern tragedy, the book follows the brutal murder that rocked the Arizona border town of Arivaca, and the ugly underbelly of the anti-immigrant movement that played a vital role in it.

Managing editor of Crook and Liars, a political blog, Neiwert exposes realities of life on the border and myths perpetuated by the Minutemen and other anti-immigrant groups.

His reporting and commentary have appeared in the Washington Post, MSNBC.com, Salon.com, and elsewhere, and earned Neiwert the 2000 National Press Club Award for Distinguished Online Journalism.
