If you have been looking out for your favorite, local nonprofit’s end-of-year or Holiday fundraising appeal, and it has not arrived in your mailbox, please know it is not for lack of effort on behalf of both nonprofit or the Friday Harbor Post Office.

There are major complications going on at our Post Office right now due to the recent USPS/Amazon partnership, coupled with an understaffing situation. Our local post office is working as hard as they can, but they are completely overwhelmed.

Please know, despite the absence of their usual annual mailing, your local nonprofits still need your support to continue the work they do that you value in our community. APS-FH’s Holiday Appeal arrived in mailboxes today so we are one of the fortunate ones, but there are other nonprofits that are not so fortunate.
