Soroptimist International of Friday Harbor invites potential new members to the San Juan Library from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1. The event is for attendees to learn more about the Soroptimist organization, and to work together to support membership’s projects. Refreshments will be served. Attendees will cut fabric pieces used by Days for Girls in their sustainable hygiene kits. Over 600,000 kits have been distributed worldwide to areas with no access to feminine hygiene products, which prevents girls from attending school. For info, visit www.daysforgirls.org.
