Join for a contra dance from 7-9 p.m., Saturday, July 21, at the San Juan Island Grange hall in Friday Harbor. The event will feature Jay Finkelstein as the caller and Quit Thinkin’ as the band.

Finkelstein hails from Seattle and provides a good time teaching and helping everyone through the dances. The band is headquartered in Ellensburg, with Pico Cantieni on fiddle and mandoline, Dave Barnet on guitar and Scott Staples on bodhran and spoons.

Give a $10 donation at the door or $5 for students. All dances are taught and no partner or experience needed. The dance is sponsored by the San Juan Island Grange 966.
