Doug and Lori Guard, long-time residents of the island, proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Guard, to Cody Anderson of Murrieta, Calif.

The young couple met at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, Calif. They became engaged June 5, 2008.

Jenny has one more year of school. Cody, who graduated in May, will be on staff at the Bible college.

When they return next summer on June 6, 2009, there will be an island wedding in the backyard.
