Ian Matthew Crawford and Whitney Anne Suzette Dyck married July 31, 2010 in the presence of family and friends, at a friend’s estate on Lake Samish in Bellingham.

Ian is the son of William Crawford of Eugene, Ore., and Sandy Train of Bellingham.

Whitney, a spirited island woman, was born on San Juan Island in October 1982. Her parents, Bob of Friday Harbor, and Pam, now of Lynden, drove her to their Cattle Point Road home three hours after her birth.

Whitney met Ian while both worked at Bank of the Pacific in Bellingham. They will live in their Sudden Valley home.

Whitney’s dad, Bob, recently purchased a home on San Juan Island, which is also a B&B named Bet Gadal. The home is across the street from where Whitney was nurtured and first lived. Bet Gadal (Gadal is a Hebrew word meaning “nurture” or “grow”) is a secure home for Ian and Whitney to visit and grow in distinguished island style for many fruitful years.
