How do you spend snow days on San Juan Island?
Perhaps sledding on a hilly street in the neighborhood. Or honing your snowboarding skills at Lafarge Community Park (aka the former gravel pit). Or building the perfect snowman. Or staying in where it’s warm and baking the perfect pie.
Perhaps you like to check on neighbors, or work with your service club to deliver wood to those in need.

Snow is expected to return to the island tonight and Wednesday. But temperatures in the 20s and chilly winds are expected to keep island roads icy, so take it slow on the roads and, as public safety officials advise, don’t travel if you don’t have to.
