Get into the holiday spirit at the annual “The Christmas Tree Lighting,” Friday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m.

It will be a fun-filled evening when all start gathering at 6 p.m. at the corner of Argyle Avenue and Spring Street to await the arrival of Santa to light the tree. We will have caroling, with refreshments available.

After we are finished with the caroling and tree lighting, we will have pictures with Santa and crafts with Island Rec!

For those who have ever walked by the tree, they will see a plaque below the tree naming the tree “The Christmas Tree, dedicated to all MIAs of all wars.” This was installed Nov. 3, 1990, by the Post 163 of the American Legion.
