Friday Harbor Middle School’s production of Game of Tiaras is the story of the aging king of a Magical Kingdom (England) who decides to split his empire between his three daughters, Cinderella, Belle, and the Snow Queen (who in no way resembles a copyrighted character). And terrible, hilarious tragedy ensues! Combining the gut-wrenching plot twists of Game of Thrones, and the soul-numbing despair of Shakespearean tragedy, this adaptation of King Lear will leave you dying with laughter. Director Lindsey Saarie has enjoyed the rehearsal process saying, “The kids keep coming up with outlandish ideas, presenting them to me, and expecting me to shoot them down. It’s been a joy to say yes and to build on their wild imaginings!” Game of Tiaras is not to be missed! The show opens on Thursday, March 16, at 7:30 pm and runs through March 19. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Thursdays are pay-what-you-can admission at the door.
