Shakespeare’s classic tale of star-crossed lovers returns to the stage in this adaptation that takes the Italian city of Verona into the glitz, glam, and grit of the 1920s. “Romeo and Juliet” chronicles the whirlwind story of two young lovers. Romeo from the Montague family and Juliet from the Capulet family, fall instantly in love despite their families’ bitter feud. Directed by Lindsey Saarie, join us for the timeless tale, complete with swordfights, death and prevailing love.
“Romeo and Juliet” runs from Jan. 16-19; curtain rises at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for student rush. The Thursday performance will be pay-what-you-can at the door with festival seating.
