This year’s theme is “Music of America,” celebrating music through the decades. While observing America’s independence, the parade will honor the island community and the amazing people and organizations that enrich our lives. This year’s grand marshal is Warren Jones, and “Citizens of Honor” are Anna Maria de Freitas and David Pass. Each has made significant community contributions and has shared so much of their time and talent with San Juan County.
The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. on July 4 and proceed down Spring Street through downtown Friday Harbor. For additional information about participating in the 2018 Friday Harbor Independence Day Parade, email parade@sanjuanisland.org or call the chamber office at 360-378-5240.
