The PeaceHealth Peace Island Family Practice clinic has scheduled the first in a series of flu shot clinics this fall for established PeaceHealth patients aged six months or older.
The clinics will be held Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the conference room next to the clinic lobby. The clinic is located inside PeaceHealth Peace Island Medical Center, 1117 Spring St. in Friday Harbor.
Appointments are required; please call 360-378-1756. Additional clinics will likely be scheduled later in the month, based on vaccine supplies.
The clinic has regular flu vaccine as well as the high-dose vaccine for people 65 and over. Patients with egg allergies can request the egg-free FluBlok vaccine at registration.
Patients also have the option of getting the vaccine at their next primary care provider visit.
Please note: PeaceHealth will not be offering either the COVID-19 or RSV vaccine this season. Please check with an area pharmacy for availability. Friday Harbor Drug currently has the RSV vaccine and anticipates soon receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
