Celebrate Easter on San Juan Island at the following events.
Easter Egg Hunt
The San Juan Island Firefighters’ Association’s annual easter egg hunt is at 1 p.m., Easter Sunday, April 16 at Jackson Beach. There will be tons of real eggs and toy prizes for ages under 12, as well as fire safety prizes. The event benefits the Friday Harbor Food Bank. Please bring a non-perishable food item or money donation.
Easter Services
Everyone is invited to the annual Easter Sunrise Service through the Friday Harbor Presbyterian Chuch at 6:30 a.m., Easter Sunday, April 16. Services are located at old Carter farm. Take the first left turn, past the Peace Island Medical Center entrance heading west. An Easter breakfast hosted by the deacons will be served from 7:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Presbyterian church, followed by a 10 a.m. service at the church.
St. Francis Catholic Church will hold a Good Friday service at 5:30 p.m., Friday, April 14. Easter services are at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, April 15 and 9 a.m., Sunday, April 16.
Islands Community Church will hold a Good Friday service at 6 p.m., Friday April 14. Easter service is at 10 a.m., April 16 and will include an Easter egg hunt for the congregation’s children.
