The Salish Sea Ballet staff will hold open auditions for the “2018 Friday Harbor Nutcracker” at their studio, 689 Airport Center, Friday Harbor, on Sunday, Sept. 9. Auditions are open to everyone ages 3 and up.

The audition schedule is as follows:

• 1-1:30 p.m.: Ages 3-6; no experience necessary.
• 1:45-2:15 p.m.: Ages 6-10; party scene, no experience necessary.
• 2:30-3:30 p.m.: Ages 9 and older, land of the sweets and soloists, two years or more ballet experience.
• 3:45-4 15 p.m.: Ages 12 and older including adults; party scene and character roles, no experience necessary.

Salish Sea Ballet’s Friday Harbor Nutcracker is an interactive family event featuring an excerpted version of the classic holiday ballet. Performances take place at Brickworks on Dec. 15-16.
