Annual Trick or Book for families with young children

Submitted by the San Juan Island Library.

Families with young children ages 0-5, along with their siblings, are cordially invited to attend the 5th Annual Trick or Book celebration. The event will take place outdoors on the Mullis Center lawn on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2-4 p.m. In the event of rain, the celebration will be moved indoors to the Mullis Center.

Trick or Book is proudly sponsored by the San Juan Island Library and the Joyce L. Sobel Family Resource Center, in collaboration with various community organizations. This event aims to offer a Halloween-themed, age-appropriate environment for young children during daylight hours. Attendees may wear their costumes, receive a complimentary book, listen to engaging stories, participate in fun crafts, enjoy refreshments, socialize and receive additional treats for their goody bags.

This year, the Trick or Book story corner will showcase presenters fluent in both English and Spanish. Join us for a memorable and enriching experience that celebrates the spirit of the Halloween season while growing community around literacy.

All San Juan Island Library programs are free to the public and can be viewed on the Library’s Events Calendar at www.sjlib.org.
