Just imagine! The San Juan Community Theatre is auctioning 13 fabulous getaways to places as varied as Lake Garda Italy, Maui, Ganges, Vendovi Island, Sun Valley and Tacoma!

Marta Specht has put together a Silent Auction of 52 wonderful things, including art by Bruke Critchfield, Lumi Verdugo, Carol Waxman, Terry Ogle and  many others, a tour for six of the U.W. labs with Director Ken Sebens, cooking classes at the Golden Triangle and Coho restaurants, exquisite jewelry, Alpaca items, a basket of books and much, much more. Before and after you listen to the tireless (and well-traveled) John Curley extol the virtues of vacations in New Orleans and Prosser, you will drink fine wines, eat fabulous appetizers and Bill Shaw supper creations cooked in front of you, and enjoy the kind of entertainment that only the best community theater in Washington can provide – starting with a stage performance by Jill and Andy Urbach and the Lisa Duke Dancers, continuing with music from Susan Williams, Keith Busha and Lopez vibraphonist Hawk Arps and finishing with dancing to The Chameleons.

Before the festival, don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets for a 7-day Holland America cruise – your open-date choice of Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico or Canada/New England. Buy tickets ($20 each, 3 for $50, 7 for $100) at the SJCT box office or any SJCT performance. And, you can bid on live auction items even if you can’t attend. E-mail Chance Earle at cfearle@rockisland.com.

The SJCT 2012 Holiday Festival starts at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, and continues until . . . well, Just Imagine.

It’s another installment for the biggest fundraiser of the year for the San Juan Community Theatre, but more importantly it’s a fun time for all and a true community holiday celebration.

And it only costs $85 per person. You’ll recoup that and more when you buy either a live auction getaway or a silent auction fine art object or gift.

Check out the auction items and get other info at www.sjctheatre.org.
