Kari McVeigh brings all the right characteristics to the table: integrity, intelligence, compassion, the art of collaboration, and leadership. She is the right person, at the right time to bring transparency back to our local government. The community shares her values as does our elected legislators.

San Juan County needs more than good intentions in our Council candidates. We need leaders who can balance the current issues against the backdrop of future needs. Kari is not a one issue candidate for County Council. She cares about our community vision and she will strive to listen, collaborate, and translate our values into action.

Endorsements are not new to the electoral process. I understand the concerns made by some islanders about accepting endorsements in a non-partisan position. However, an endorsement does not mean that the candidate will be unable to retain impartiality in serving the community or in prioritizing the needs of our citizens. In San Juan County, we elect three County Council members who are required to represent the values and preferences of the entire community. Kari checks all the boxes.
