Supporting public schools | Letter

Dear Editor,

Did you know that the San Juan Island School District needs $97,300 this year just to keep basic school programs running? That’s where the San Juan Public Schools Foundation comes in! We look forward to another year of working with our community to foster a brighter future for our students and teachers.

As we embark on this new school year, our foundation would like to express gratitude for our supporters. With your continued partnership, we are geared up to:

Enhance Science and Math curriculums: we recognize the importance of STEM education and are committed to bolstering science and math curriculums to provide our students with the best tools and resources for success in these critical fields.

Provide Art Supplies for Creative Minds: nurturing creativity is a cornerstone of a well-rounded education. We aim to ensure that every student has access to quality art supplies, fostering a love for the arts.

Offer New Health and Wellness Resources: the well-being of our students is of paramount importance. We will be introducing new health and wellness resources to support the physical and emotional health of our school communities.

Fuel STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Projects: our commitment to STEAM education remains unwavering. We will continue to support innovative projects that encourage interdisciplinary learning and creativity.
