We support the Library’s request for a new Levy Lid Lift.
Nothing in our community matches the services we get from our Library.
The Library is open to all—all ages and people with a wide range of interests and needs.
“Books” just barely touches on the Library’s services.
The Library staff brings together people—staff, experts, and volunteers—to share their special skills and interests.
They invite us to learn from one another things we would never have access to except for the gift of our sharing neighbors.
In doing so, they invite us to be connected to people and to new parts of our world we would never meet in our daily activities. And I must admit I would be even less proficient on my electronic devices were it not for patient and accessible staff at the Library.
Friday Harbor has many resources which make our lives better.
But we have only one Library.
We have restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and supper.
But we have only one Library.
We have 3 gas stations.
But we have only one Library.
We have 3 grocery stores.
But we have only one Library.
We have 3 places to buy “breakfast sandwiches to go”
But we have only one Library.
We have 2 book stores,
And 2 roundabouts,
But we have only one Library.
Let’s take good care of our Library.
Sharron Kick and Patricia Francisco,
Friday Harbor
