Dear San Juan Islanders,

Today I’m sending joyful thanks to you, our many island friends and neighbors, for your overwhelming support during this year’s SJI Cares campaign at the county fair! Designed to highlight the work of 30 local nonprofits and fundraise for their diverse programs, the community foundation’s annual SJI Cares campaign is a celebration of the power of community spirit and collective giving.

Together, we raised a remarkable $194,317 during the 4 days of the county fair! Each of the 30 featured nonprofits earned a $1,000 matching grant from SJICF and 12 projects were fully funded.

Whether you gave via our online catalog, stopped by or volunteered at our fair booth, or played one of our daily bonus games, your participation in SJI Cares was a testament to the strength of our community.
