Thanks for focusing on the sheriff’s contest in the manner that The Journal did last night and for doing an all-around good job.

First, the extension of time to respond to questions was certainly helpful. And the calm tone set by featuring just two candidates, the generous allotment of time for self-introductions, and length of the program which allowed an array of pertinent issues to be discussed left me feeling totally satisfied that I had attended such a quality meeting.

Just wanted you to know that you raised the bar on candidate meetings last night!
