Thousands of children in Ukraine will receive gift shoeboxes from Operation Christmas Child as well as millions more to locations around the world. Friday Harbor’s donation of 135 shoeboxes will be part of this vital mission.

Our reliable team has again made this possible. The lovely ladies in Kings Marine saved shoeboxes for wrapping. Contributions from community members, the Mary Martha Circle and CTK youth group filled the boxes and delivered them to the collection site, the Presbyterian Church, where they were packed in larger cartons. Friday Harbor Freight picked up the cartons and transported them to His Place in Burlington to continue their journey for distribution to the children by Christmas. This has been the pattern for over 25 years on our island.
