I am writing to support the position taken by Gayle Rollins in his guest article and especially by Janice Peterson in her recent letter.

In this case, we have a private property owner with a substantial investment executing a lease with a government agency that conducted their RFP (Request for Proposal) in accordance with appropriate guidelines. The proposed use of the space is perfectly in accord with all local statutes.

It is unconscionable that those who have made no investment somehow believe that they have the right to dictate a perfectly legitimate use of private property simply because they don’t like it.

Mr. Rollins article and Mrs. Petersons letter accurately address the economic and constitutional issues. Mr. Larson would do well to consider those issues before succumbing to the emotional issues and getting involved.
