I am supporting Kari McVeigh for County Council District 1. I believe Kari is a leader, and there has never been a time when we needed better leadership. Kari checks the boxes in all areas including experience in budgeting, affordable housing, promoting a sustainable environment and a sustainable community. For the last many years, San Juan County has strayed from the principles that led voters to adopt a Home Rule Charter. There is a lot of serious work ahead and Kari is willing to do the hard work. She believes in effective governance and transparent governance.
