I am enthusiastically supporting Kari McVeigh for San Juan County Council. She has great credentials, having administered over large school districts with large budgets. Anyone in that position has had to deal with competing interests, political pressures and big fiduciary responsibilities while keeping their eye focussed on a career of service and the people whose lives they affect. All of these skills will be important tools when taking on the job of helping to guide our county through the next few years.

As citizens we each have issues that speak to our greatest hopes for the direction this county takes and my top priorities are a healthy environment, energy security and a resilient community in a rapidly changing world. Kari McVeigh has expressed that these are values she shares and she is getting my vote.
