Brickworks Grand Opening this coming Saturday June 15 at 2 p.m., will be in the heart of Friday Harbor on Nichols Street.

Please join us as we step through time, seeing and believing what commitment and community can bring.

We’ll have some introductory remarks, a look back at the building’s history and how the renovation and re-purposing came into being, and a glimpse into our future plans for the facility and community programs.

After the ribbon cutting, take a tour around the totally transformed interior and enjoy a grand community pie potluck (with complimentary commemorative T-shirts for the first 30 to arrive with their donated pies). The Chameleons will then entertain until 6 p.m.

As we will say many times, our deepest gratitude to the hundreds of volunteers and supporters, public and private, whose sense of community, labor and financial resources — both large and small — have brought about what some doubted could be done.

Friday Harbor indeed has a new heart. We are proud to be part of it.
