I am pleased to announce the upcoming opening of a new medical office. The Friday Harbor Family Clinic will be located across the street from the United States Post Office at 235 Blair Avenue. In addition to myself, pediatrician Dr. Mark Fishaut will join the practice to resume caring for children and young adults. Our goal is to serve you, our community, with the same skills and empathy which we have provided for the past combined 24 years.

The process of setting up the practice and dotting all the “i’s”and crossing the “t’s” is always an adventure and will determine when the office will open. We are beginning to process of identifying which insurances we can accept but are committed to both Medicare and Medicaid, and most commercial insurance plans as well as making accommodations for those without coverage.

We’ll keep you updated on progress towards opening as well as a guide to the services we will offer. In the meantime, those who wish us to provide care for you and your family can begin the process of requesting medical record transfers from your current providers.

Understanding that starting an office from scratch is difficult under ideal circumstances and all the more so during these challenging times. Please be patient. Looking forward to 2022 and for the honor of serving the needs of the community we love!
