We are writing to commend the former Friday Harbor Elementary School PTA board on the hard work they did in raising the necessary money and installing the new play structure at the elementary school playground.

Many hours of hard work went into this project for the children of San Juan Island. We also support the new board and principal, Gary Pflueger, in their decision to investigate options to this product.

Let’s keep in mind that these hard-working volunteers acted from their hearts when taking on this project and keep in mind that they are probably feeling sad that we cannot celebrate the entirety of this project but deserve congratulations and thanks nonetheless.

So take the time to thank the outgoing PTA for all their hard work and to support the new PTA board and our new principal in their efforts to find a solution to this unfortunate problem.
