Entrepreneurial ideas for jobs in this tough economy

As I travel around the island this summer, I have time to think of jobs to be had or maybe some work that I could get.

I notice as I travel on San Juan Valley Road that there are a lot of cows. Compared to the sheep in the next field that look really neat and clean, some of these cows could use a bath. So I was thinking maybe I should start a cow-washing business. A clean cow is a happy cow. In Japan, the Kobe cows get massages, so why not?

As I walk on the dock in Roche Harbor, I see a lot of boats have a dinghy. And it looks like the dinghy could use a scrubbing. So I was thinking maybe I should start a dinghy washing business. So, hello there, Mr. and Mrs. Boater, can I wash your dinghy? I should ask the folks at boating store what I would need to do dinghy washing. I already have a bucket.

I was over near Friday Harbor Airport looking at that big ship that was here in early July and I noticed that there are some small airplanes at the airport that could get better fuel mileage if the airplanes were polished to a pristine glow. So maybe I should learn how to polish airplanes?

Just thinking!
