The “Party of the Year” will be the Purple & Gold barbecue, dance and
auction May 2, at 5 p.m., at the Beaverton Valley Business Park! The goal is to raise $45,000 to fund the high school sports program.
This money is to tide over the program until Island Rec can place a measure on the November ballot, which will provide stable funding for sports for the next six years! Without this stop-gap $45,000, there will be no fall football, soccer, tennis, etc.
Please come and enjoy a delicious dinner, great live music by Dirt Monkey and the Friday Harbor High School Jazz Band, and a fantastic auction with all a wide variety of valuable items (even a VW Superbeetle!), including some provided by the high school athletic teams themselves (stacking wood, babysitting, yardwork, and
more!) Tickets are just $20 for adults, $10 for students, available at Post San Juan.
See you there!
