I am very dismayed to learn about Homeland Security moving into leased space on Spring Street.

This will impact the vital tourist business in a very negative way. But what really disturbs me is that I don’t feel they need to be here at all.

Perhaps we need an increase in customs agents, but I hardly think terrorism is a problem in Friday Harbor. This is a waste of taxpayer money.
