My adrenaline surged as my back arched, restarting the back pain I have been fighting.
I had just gotten out of my car as the dog I had not seen in the car next to me hit its window, fiercely barking! So surprised was I, that I wanted to cry! I felt angry and assaulted. It took me the rest of the day to calm my fractured nerves.
To the owner, I say: I know you love your dog and maybe even use it as protection, but can one train their dog not to attack someone outside their car window? Can you understand the trauma that the “pet” created? I ask only that pet owners please consider others with all the aspects of owning a pet.
Would you want your mother or your grandmother to experience the fright as well as the injury? Being frightened in a public space is just not fair! Please ponder. Thank you.
