Westcott Bay Sea Farm, at the end of Westcott Drive, will reopen on weekends for the season beginning Friday.
The sea farm, known worldwide for its oysters and other shellfish, will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beginning June 22, the sea farm will be open week-long through the summer.

The sea farm went dormant last year after the daughters of founders Bill and Doree Webb put the property on the market. But because of the economy, the property is “not actively on the market now,” said Craig Bleeker, a Webb son-in-law who with his wife owns the sea farm.
The Bleekers lease the sea farm property from the family.
Frank Raue, the sea farm’s retired grow-out manager, told Bleeker there are enough oysters to reopen for another season. Raue has been spending time preparing the sea farm for another season.
