IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a scam company in Florida that is “assisting” with UEI renewals, which are required for Working WA Round 5. Emails are coming from: administrator@renewalesupport.us and info@renewalsupport.com. It looks like the email was flagged by the Ohio Township Association here: FRAUD ALERT: SAM Renewal – Ohio Township Association (ohiotownships.org) Always remember – emails from sam.gov should come from an email ending with gsa.gov.

The Economic Development Council of San Juan County offers a variety of trades and tech training programs for adults and youth, in an effort to provide pathways to economic independence for local workers, while meeting community needs. Our programs include high-wage, high-demand skills such as plumbing, carpentry, surveying, computer programming, and more.

Washington State University Offering Whole Farm Planning Class

We’ll cover a broad range of topics and decision-making tools for you to create a successful small farm enterprise! Whether you are just exploring the opportunities available or already have an existing operation, you’ll learn what it takes to create, sustain, and grow a viable small farm.

$200 for a 12-week course Sept. 19 through Dec.5

Class meets weekly on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Online course classroom through Zoom with in-person field trips

Scholarships are available for Military Veterans and anyone for whom the course fee is a barrier

This course will be offered with Spanish language interpretation and facilitation
