How long have you been with Savi and what is your position?

I’ve been with SaviBank for 3.5 years. I was at Business Bank for 5 years. Currently, I’m the retail branch manager at the Friday Harbor branch.

What drew you to banking?

I was drawn to banking because it offers a variety of career paths and opportunities to grow in different directions.

What do you love about it?

Being a community banker is something I truly enjoy. My role and experience give me the freedom to come up with creative solutions for my customers — something that larger banks may not offer.

What would surprise people about your job?

People might be surprised by how much we need to stay informed across various areas. From industry trends and interest rates to compliance updates and the local real estate market, everything in banking is interconnected, and it’s important to stay on top of it all to deliver the best service.

Where do you see yourself in a decade?

The banking industry is always evolving. I enjoy my current role at the bank and don’t see myself going anywhere, but you never know where the road can lead.

What do you do to relax and recharge?

I find relaxation in working on my property and enjoying drives or walks around the parts of the island I love most.

What is your superpower?

I’m quite skilled in the kitchen, and cooking is a passion of mine. There’s nothing I enjoy more than feeding people!
