The Economic Development Council of San Juan County will offer an Etsy 101 Workshop in October, as part of their Tech Training Accelerator Initiative.
This two-part introductory workshop is designed to teach creatives and creative business owners the basics of setting up a store on the Etsy marketplace. The workshop will be led by Lara Braithwaite, the EDC Tech Training Coordinator and experienced ecommerce consultant with more than fifteen years of selling products on Etsy.
No prior knowledge of Etsy is necessary. Participants will need basic computer skills and access to a laptop or desktop computer less than five years old. Participants will complete 1-2 hours of assignments per week on their own schedule.
The EDC Coordinator will review Etsy essentials and answer questions during two live Zoom sessions. Participants will receive online materials and instructions by email before the first online session. Completing the assignments before the Zoom sessions is strongly recommended but not required.
Details: The first Zoom session is Oct. 2 from 10 – 11 a.m., and the second is on Oct. 9 from 10 – 11 a.m.
The course fee is $35 and advance payment is required. Please visit https://sanjuansedc.org/tech to reserve your space. For questions, please call 360-378-2906 or email: lara@sanjuansedc.org.
