Five members of the Friday Harbor baseball team, which this season compiled a 21-2 record, claimed its fifth-consecutive Northwest 1A/2B League title and another trip to the state 1A tournament, were first-team all-league selections, including cousins Eddie and Jordan Nash.
If approved, the cuts would affect nearly every department and program, in varying degrees, that are supported by the general fund.

The Friday Harbor softball team needed three in a row to get to State. And by clobbering Seattle Christian and Bellevue Christian in back-to-back, do-or-die games Saturday at the Tri-District tournament, the Wolverines put themselves in position to pull off the improbable.
Coach Dick Barnes said competition increases by leaps and bounds at Quad-District. “The level of tennis is just phenomenal,” he said.
