Friday Harbor swept the season series with La Conner with a solid home win Tuesday.

After an even and scoreless first half, the Wolverines — undefeated in league, 8-2 overall — came out strong and dominated the second session. Elle Guard broke the ice with a Steven Gerrard-like strike from 30 yards in the 44th minute. It remained tense until late in the period when Clara Brand’s second and third efforts were rewarded in the 68th minute. Whitney Porter provided the icing on the cake with her 18th of the season minutes later. A late penalty provided the Braves with their only tally.

Final score: Friday Harbor 3, La Conner 1.
