Baseball

Friday Harbor High School recently played two conference games against rival Orcas Island. In the first game of the two-game series, they faced off in an away game at Orcas Island High School, securing a 4-2 victory. However, in the second game, a home match at Linde Community Fields, they were defeated 6-0.

In their following game, Friday Harbor traveled to Northern Whatcom County for an away game against Lynden Christian High School, where they suffered a close loss, 7-6.

Up Next: On April 12, Friday Harbor will play an away game at South Whidbey High School, facing East Jefferson.

Softball

Friday Harbor softball played two conference games against an inter-island foe. In their away game at Orcas Island High School, they dominated their opponent, winning 16-3. However, in the following home game at Linde Community Fields, they suffered a tough loss, finishing 8-1 against the Vikings.

Up Next: Friday Harbor will play an away game at South Whidbey High School, facing East Jefferson, on April 12.

Track and Field

Friday Harbor Track and Field competed in the Trojan Twilight Meet in Bellingham on Friday. The girls had a stellar day, with Stella Carli finishing in first place in the 400m and second place in the 200m.

For the boys, highlights included Lewis Haws, who set a personal record, finished second in the 100m Ambulatory final, and took first place in the Ambulatory Javelin. Channing Kleine posted the best result for the school in the track events, with a personal record of 24.21 seconds in the 200m. Malachi Cullen finished second in the long jump with a season record of 19 feet, 10.5 inches.

Up Next: The next event for Friday Harbor Track and Field is Wednesday, April 16, for a NW 1B/2B meet at Coupeville.
