My family has been on Orcas since the late 1800s and we’ve seen a lot of things change for the better and recently, for the worse. We’ve had radical changes in the county the past couple of years. From years to get building permits, 32-hour work week and pay adjusted to 40 hours to continual issues with WA State Ferries.

Keep It Simple, with moderate changes, growth and public initiatives. San Juan County needs to get back to the basics.

I rarely voice my opinion on state or national level issues as my vote has such little impact on the grand scheme of things. However my vote for San Juan County Council has a huge impact and that is why I am voting for Rick Hughes.

Rick is the most qualified for the job. It’s that simple. Vote RICK HUGHES.
