I strongly support the library operating levy on the Aug. 6 Primary Election ballot. It will renew and update the current operating levy which was passed 13 years ago, and has been in place since 2012. Growth and change have been constant in those ensuing years and our public library has diligently worked to keep pace with the changing needs of our times.
I volunteer at the library on a regular basis, and I see every day the many ways our library benefits our community: Young families to older adults; Job seekers to retired individuals; Preschoolers to high schoolers; Technology-savvy to technology-challenged; DIY kit users to those who just want to check out a book…there are myriad ways in which our community members enjoy the benefits of our library.
Now, it’s time to renew the levy to keep our library operating and providing the vital services that enrich our community. Please join me in voting Yes.
