Yes, another dance this month! Contra Dance takes place on the third Saturday of this month, Nov. 18, at the San Juan Grange Hall in Friday Harbor. Dancing lasts from 7-9 p.m. There is a $10 donation at the door.

Our caller will be Amy Carroll, who has called our dance several times and we are so happy to have her back again. Amy is a real veteran caller; based in Seattle, she calls contras and squares for parties, public events and festivals all over the NW. It’s always a treat to host Amy. Coming with Amy is her husband Forrest’s band, with Forrest on fiddle and guitar, Kate Lichtenstein on fiddle and guitar and Jerry Gallaher on banjo and guitar. Be ready to enjoy yourself, as these folks are heaps of fun. All dances are taught, and neither partner nor experience needed to join in. Bring your family and friends, all are welcome.
