Three recent ribbon cuttings

Submitted by the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce.

Within the last three months, the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce has welcomed new businesses and new ownership of businesses with ribbon cuttings. In May the Chamber welcomed Stacey Brown-Smith and her business Party at Stacey’s. Party at Stacey’s offers party supplies, lunch and dinner options, sweet treats, and espresso. The Board of Directors and Mayor Ray Jackson were present to commemorate this occasion.

Following the ribbon cutting at Party at Stacey’s, the Chamber of Commerce celebrated the re-opening of the Griffin Bay Coffee shop within the Griffin Bay Bookstore. The Chamber welcomed the new owner Mae Cannon and so long-awaited re-opening of the café within the bookstore.

The most recent ribbon cutting took place at Salty Fox Coffee, welcoming the new owner Tyler Bereth to the Friday Harbor business community. The Chamber Board of Directors and Town Administrator Denice Kulseth were present to help commemorate the occasion. Ribbon cuttings are a great perk of membership with the Chamber and are a wonderful way to celebrate a reopening or a business, a new aspect of a business changing, or to celebrate the new owner of an existing business.
