Mark the calendars for Saturday, July 22 at 2 p.m. and audition for San Juan Community Theatre’s fall play: The Hallelujah Girls. The play kicks off SJCT’s 2023-2024 Season: “The Family We Find.” This Southern comedy takes place at the Spa-Dee-Dah, a beauty salon in an old church and follows the feisty females of Eden Falls, Georgia, as they decide to shake up their lives. Think Golden Girls meets Steel Magnolias! Auditions will take place at the PARC Building located at 70 Saltspring Drive and will consist of readings from the script. Scripts are available now at the SJCT Box Office, open 11 a.m.- 2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.
