Dear San Juan County Councilors:

It has come to my attention that you have failed to carry out your responsibility to forward to the San Juan County Auditor the 4 proposed Charter Amendments put forward by the SJC Charter Review Commission to appear on the SJC ballot this November.

The deadline for these Charter Amendments (Propositions 1-4) to be submitted to the Elections Office is 5 p.m. TODAY.

So I urge you to fulfill your responsibility and forward these four proposed Charter Amendments to the Milene Henley before the 5 p.m. deadline TODAY.

Your failure to fulfill your responsibility here threatens to deny thousands of voters here in San Juan County the right to vote to have Ranked Choice Voting in our Charter and to vote for the other three proposed Charter Amendments as well.
