Two new cases of COVID-19 were announced in San Juan County on the evening of July 30. One of the cases on Orcas and the other on San Juan, bringing the county total to 30. As of July 30, there have been 16 confirmed cases on San Juan Island; 11 on Orcas; and three on Lopez.
A total of 2,752 people in San Juan County have been tested for the disease. There has been one hospitalization and no deaths of county COVID-19 patients according to the Washington Department of Health.
On July 24, the county announced it would no longer be sending press releases out with each diagnosed case but would do one release on Thursdays addressing all cases announced over the past week. No press release was sent on Thursday, July 30.
