Village at the Harbour, in conjunction with the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 163, will host their first annual Holiday Extravaganza and Festival of Lights. This free event is open to the community and will be held from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20 at The Village at the Harbour.
Local Mike Scott will have the Village at the Harbour decked out with the some of the most amazing holiday lights found on the island. Santa will pass out candy canes and pose for pictures while attendees feast from a decadent dessert buffet, sip hot chocolate or cider and enjoy traditional musical entertainment while taking in the spectacular holiday light display.
This event will benefit the Joyce L. Sobel Family Resource Center for their important service to the community. Guests may choose to contribute cash donations to go toward the purchase of food and gas cards.
Since the American Legion Ladies Auxillary was founded on Nov. 10, 1919, members have dedicated themselves to meeting the needs of the nation’s veterans, military, their families and their communities both at home and abroad. To learn more about the auxiliary, contact local President Antoinette Harkess at 702-376-6929 or stop by the American Legion at 110 First St. South.
