It’s almost time for the San Juan County Fair, and the photography department needs volunteers and judges. Help from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 14, to accept entries and put them up for display. The department also needs a minimum of four judges, but preferably six, for the judging of the entries. Judging should begin at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday and generally takes about 90 minutes. Volunteers are also needed to man the photography department table, primarily to accept “People’s Choice” votes from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, and, if anyone is willing and able, volunteer to help from 9 a.m.-noon on Sunday to shut down of the display.
