A local chapter of an international support group called The Compassionate Friends, www.compassionatefriends.org, supports families after they have lost a child.

In anticipation of the holidays which can be stark reminders of loss, we would welcome the opportunity to shine a spotlight on this local support group.

We have an upcoming candle lighting ceremony on Dec. 10.
