Correction: Originally the agenda stated commissioners would “discuss and approve a Memorandum of Understanding and draft Purchase and Sale Agreement for Jensen’s Shipyard,” however the port director notified the Journal that commissioners had not seen or approved that agenda item and it has been changed.

The next Port of Friday Harbor Commission meeting is at 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4 at suite 105 in the Spring Street Landing building. The agenda includes a “discussion of the timeline and process of due diligence needed before entering into” an agreement to purchase Jensen Boat Yard and Marina.

There will be additional public involvement before a decision on the purchase is made, as well as the continuation of environmental and financial feasibility reviews.
